Staying in is the new going out

Staying in is the new going out, or so we're told in these credit crunching times. There's never been a better time to invite your friends around for a party and annoy your neighbours (politely of course).  Birmingham is full of so many young people you'll meet loads of new friends through other friends. What's great about parties these days is that you, the host, don't really have to do much except provide the space for a good time.

If your invite says 'bring some food and drink' you might even be able to live free for a week on the leftovers! The only problem might be finding 'Steve from Sociology' still on your settee some three weeks after your little soirée.
