Our lively student population find Birmingham the perfect place to combine studies with having a good time. There are museums and libraries and plenty of history for students to immerse themselves into. But there is also a great social scene where students can have fun and let their hair down.

Clubbing in Birmingham means great music, drinking, dancing and enjoying yourself.  And because of this, Birmingham has earned itself the reputation of being one of the best cities to visit for a weekend.

You can catch great performances at our regular venues like the Carling Academy, the NEC and the NIA but there are also plenty of intimate venues to choose from.

Going out around Birmingham you'll find pubs like The Hare and Hounds on High Street where an eclectic mix of live music and club nights reflects the diversity Birmingham has to offer. There's also The Sunflower Lounge which plays sixties music and The Yardbird connects with jazz enthusiasts and nu-soul junkies.

Birmingham has plenty to offer when it comes to music, ensuring that students are never left twiddling their thumbs.
