2010 is Election Year - Don’t Lose Your Vote, Register Now

If you're not on the electoral register for Birmingham or your home town, and you don't act soon, you will not be able to vote to help choose the people who run our country.

Getting registered is easy, but you must allow time between completing your registration and appearing on the list – for example, if you register on 1 March, you will be on the register and able to vote from 1 April, but not before.

Who Can Vote?

British citizens aged 18 and over, and Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizens resident in the UK can vote at all elections. Citizens of other EU member states resident in the UK can vote in local government elections but not in UK Parliamentary elections.

But Remember - You Must be on the Electoral Register

To find out if you are, or to register for the first time in Birmingham, contact Birmingham City Council's Elections Office, 150 Great Charles Street. You can phone them on 0121 303 2731 or email elections@birmingham.gov.uk
