University of Birmingham Chaplaincy... University of Birmingham Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy provides a unique space where worshippers and enquirers of all faiths, or none, can meet to get to know each other.

Regular worship, social events and other activities are seen as times to explore our varied traditions and beliefs.  These times are valued as ways to deepen mutual understanding and respect.

Selly Oak Chapel

The Selly Oak chapel can be found near the Rendezvous cafe.  It is open during the day for quiet prayer and reflection and is occasionally used for meetings and music rehearsals  The chapel is available for all students and staff, irrespective of religious faith and background.  There is information displayed in the chapel about religious facilities and societies in the university.

St Francis Hall

Situated right beside the Guild of Students, St Francis Hall (SFH) is the hub of the Multi-faith Chaplaincy at the University.  It offers a place where students and staff of all faiths can meet for worship and social events.  St Francis Hall has two large worship rooms and a small room for quiet prayer or meets, together with a large lounge and kitchen facilities.  These can be booked for worship, meetings or other events during the week.

Birmingham City University Chaplaincy... Birmingham City University Chaplaincy

The Birmingham City University Chaplaincy Service is available to all students, whether they are of one faith or none. The chaplain is someone you can talk to in confidence and in the sure knowledge that you will not be judged or looked down on.  The Chaplaincy Team is inter-faith, representing the Roman Catholic, Anglican, Free Church, Quaker and Jewish communities.  There is a Catholic Chaplaincy with a lounge and a chapel at Ceed House on the City North Campus and Edgbaston Campus has its own dedicated chaplain.

Aston University Chaplaincy... Aston University Chaplaincy

At Aston University there have been Chaplains on campus for over 30 years.  The University Chaplains represent most Christian denominations.  Contactable at all times they offer confidential help and advice and work with the Guild societies, departments and individuals, whether they hold religious beliefs or not.  The Chaplaincy provides a termly programme of events and religious services at the Martin Luther King Chaplaincy Centre, in the ground floor of Lawrence Tower.  They also have details of places of worship and local religious representatives such as Faith Advisers.

For students of other religions, the student religious societies such as the Hindu, Islamic, Jewish and Sikh societies offer you the chance to meet and worship with other people who share your religious beliefs.  There is also a campus prayer room.  The city of Birmingham offer a wide choice of places of worship covering all major regions.
